Primary 2 in St. Aloysius is a busy but fun place to be. Our teachers are Mrs Russell (P2A) and Mr Hughes (P2B).
We are all great friends and we enjoy working together as a team. During the year we learn lots of interesting things and we enjoy doing creative activities and science investigations.
We love sharing big books and it's always fun to find out about the characters from the stories we read. Through 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' we explore the days of the week, healthy and unhealthy foods and the lifecycle of a butterfly.
We enjoy our number work, creating colour and picture patterns. We like to use our teacher's money for shopping. If only the things in the shop were real!
Lots of our work is topic based. For example The Bakery, Pirates, The Hospital, and The Farm to mention just a few. We even get to go to Pizza Express in October to make our very own pizza!
We always try our very best and our teachers always have lots of super stickers and certificates to give us.
Each Friday we have Star of the Week. We get certificates, stickers and praise from our Principal ,Mrs Milne.
During the year we like to go outside and look around our school grounds to see all the signs of the changing seasons and go on nature walks.
In P2 we live out our motto, 'to live love and learn in a caring Catholic community'.
