Primary Three in St Aloysius is a fun place to be. We are two friendly and hardworking classes who love learning and taking part in lots of practical activities. Our classrooms are bright and colourful with displays of our art work and stories. We are very healthy and energetic. We love eating our yummy healthy snacks at break time. We enjoy PE once a week and we are also learning to play Gaelic. In class we earn stars for good behaviour and work. If we reach five stars we get a special sticker. When we reach ten stars we get a certificate. Our class teacher also picks a “Star of the Week” and Mr McClean gives the star a certificate and a special badge. In P3 we are very talented and love to sing, act and dance. We perform assemblies and plays and always learn our lines and songs well. At Christmas Time we have as special play for all our mummies and daddies to come and see. We tell them the story of the very first Christmas a long long time ago. Primary Three is a very important year for us; we make our First Confession in St Patrick’s Church. We learn the story of The Good Shepherd to tell to our parents in a special assembly. Father Eamon, our school chaplain, comes to visits us to teach us about Jesus and to help us learn our prayers. We are also very creative and make lots of fun things, like African masks, Halloween decorations and cards. We enjoy going to the ICT suite to learn new things on the computers and borrowing books from the Library. We work hard but we play hard too!
